President Richard 10 Meter Ham Radio

The President Richard is a mobile 10-meter HAM radio in its standard form. If unlocked (export modified), it can also cover the 11 meter (CB Radio) and 12-meter bands. This radio is made by the President Electronics Group who has its head office located in France. They sell their radios globally and there is usually a variant for the EU market and the US market. Take it from me, they make dam good radios with some features unique to them.

President have made a great looking, simple to operate, old-school style radio but its identity is confused and is more of a CB radio that covers the 10- and 12-meter bands. Its high-power output is what will attract its followers, but caution must be taken with its legality to operate in your region. This is an unboxing and first impressions video to help you decide if the President Richard is the radio for you.

The President Richard is without doubt my favourite radio and is the one I gravitate towards over all others. It doesn’t have SSB (single side band), but it has everything else you need, looks great and is just so easy to use. If you need SSB then the Lincoln 2 plus is the radio for you. The Richard has a twin brother called the President Walker 2 and are nearly identical. In fact, they have the same PCB and internals with the main difference being that the Richard conforms to Ham radio type approvals and the Walker to CB.

As with all my videos, I try to inject a little humour along the way. It is not my intention to offend anyone, please take it as intended, a bit of fun.
