Diamond HF10FX 10-Meter Antenna on CB Frequencies

The Diamond HF10FX antenna has been designed for the 10-meter band covering the 28Mhz and 29Mhz spectrum. How does it fare when used on the 11-meter band covering the CB Radio frequencies 26Mhz and 27Mhz.

We test the antenna to see if it’s any good and what SWR we can achieve using it on the CB radio bands. Diamond is a high-quality antenna brand and along with Nagoya rank up there with the best on the market. The HF10FX costs around £55 ex-vat or £65 including vat so is not cheap. Do you get what you pay for, or should you avoid using a 10-meter antenna on 11 meters? We answer that question in the video.

This style of antenna does not have a spring at the base, so you need a powerful mag mount to keep it on the roof. The mount I recommend is the Sirio MAG145-PL which is the one we are using.
