Commodore 64 Winter 2022 Video Preparation

Lots of preparation has been underway throughout 2022 amassing stock ready for the winter retro season. We are planning to fix various C64 breadbin and C64C machines along with building a completely new C64C with as many new components as we can get our hands on. Plenty of PLA replacements as these don’t tend to survive and are frequently the cause of dead C64’s.

We have 2x 250407 PCB’s and 2x 250466 PCB’s in a mix of colours. Four BOM’s for each board with various chips and sockets and a brand new C64C case made from the original moulds in black. Thanks to Retro 8Bit Shop in the Netherlands for supplying the BOM’s.

The PCB’s are from SixtyClone who have reverse engineered and improved upon the original PCB’s. The 250407 is for the breadbin C64 and the 250466 is the long board for C64C. You can purchase these boards and others from “SixtyClone” Commodore 64 Replica PCBs from Bob’s Bits on Tindie

PLA replacements and PAL/NTSC and Dead test kit

A brand new C64C case in black to match the PCB which was made from the original mouldings that were found a few years back. They aren’t cheap but are as original as you can get without having to retro bright and repair old cases.
