Anytone AT-D878UVII Plus DMR Radio

The Anytone AT-D878UVII Plus is the latest handheld DMR radio from Qixiang Electron in China. This radio packs in Bluetooth, GPS, Full APRS (RX and TX), resolves the digital contacts database size issue, has a new DMR Repeater Roaming feature and a faster processor. This video reviews and unboxes the device, takes you through the firmware update process and uploads the Digital Contacts database to the device. All steps are shown so you know exactly what to do when setting up this device.

Apart from the ridiculously long name this is a great value radio which gets you into the world of DMR for under £200. It feels solid and that battery lasts for an age! Unlike other radios the box comes packed full of everything you could possibly need. Anytone need to sort out their website as it still has certificate issues almost a year after the making for the video.
